The Chronicles of Narnia

Now let's take a closer look at The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.
I mentioned it earler, but decided to revisit it with some of the art that has been released on the movie to give you a better idea of what it's all about.

Of course Weta Workshop's involvement in the physical special effects gave this project more credibility to me. Weta Workshop is Peter Jackson's special effect house that dazzled us with their work in Lord of the Rings.

The Story: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," a spectacular live-action/CGI motion picture adaptation of C.S. Lewis' beloved literary classic. Lewis' timeless adventure follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings - Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter - in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a nobel and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch's powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from Jadis' icy spell forever......

It's been a long, long time since I read the Chronicles of Narnia ... I'm going to have to pick up the book and read it again. I don't remember a whole lot about the story ... I do, however, remember that I absolutely loved it! It was around the same time that I was reading Tolkiens trilogy. The have a little bit of the same "flavor" as I recall. I'm looking forward to the movie.
